Philadelphia's Department of Licenses and Inspections (L+I) has issued a zoning permit for redevelopment of the auto repair shop ("Ezra's) and the strip of 1-story retail spaces on the south side of the 4700 block of Spruce Street. Cathy Davis, HOSTS for HOSPITALS, offered a powerful plea at the April GCCA Board meeting for people with space in their homes or private lodgings to become hosts. Hosts provide just lodging, not transportation or meals, for family members of patients in local hospitals. Hosts also can provide lodging for out-patients needing treatment.
