or know of an opportunity for private lodging such as Airbnb, au pair suite, apartment, corporate lodging, or homes of people traveling...?
Cathy Davis, HOSTS for HOSPITALS, offered a powerful plea at the April GCCA Board meeting for people with space in their homes or private lodgings to become hosts. Hosts provide just lodging, not transportation or meals, for family members of patients in local hospitals. Hosts also can provide lodging for out-patients needing treatment. Hosts select available dates and frequency. It could be just a one time occurrence.
Board Members at the meeting who have acted as hosts shared that the experience is rewarding for everyone.
