Tennis Courts at 47th and Spruce

Garden Court Community Association became stewards of 2 city-owned tennis courts at 47th and Spruce in 1988, when they were first constructed in cooperation with Councilman Lucien Blackwell’s office and the Philadelphia Department of Recreation.

Over the years, the tennis courts have become a wonderful amenity for the neighborhood and Lea Elementary School. The tennis courts are home to Legacy Tennis and the Philadelphia Sun Chasers - two free, volunteer-run, youth tennis programs.

We are building an online community to organize events and connect players. We'd love to have you join!  It's free and works like Facebook:

If you have other questions or would like to get involved in the maintenance, restoration, and fundraising efforts, please contact info@gardencourtca.org or use the form below.
