A Statement from the Board of Directors

The Garden Court community recently witnessed the voice of the unheard as demonstrators here in Philadelphia and across the country took to the streets to demand justice, respect, fairness, and equity for those in the Black community.  The Garden Court Community Association (GCCA) believes in the mission of Black Lives Matter, an organization committed to justice, healing, and freedom for Black people. Neighbors Helping Neighbors

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the GCCA COVID-19 Response Committee undertook a phone banking effort to connect our members and other neighbors to important services available to help weather this pandemic. Committee members Luis Bravo, Frank Allegra and some friends made over 200 calls to GCCA members and other folks in our community. They were able to inform around 150 people about the Philadelphia Mutual Aid Program and about the application for the Philadelphia Emergency Rental Assistance Fund.  Along the way, they had many meaningful conversations with people in our community who were thankful of the information we were sharing and some who were even interested in doing their p
