Shakespeare in Clark Park returns!
Shakespeare in Clark Park is thrilled to return to Clark Park this summer, presenting PERICLES, July 28th - August 1st. This adventurous tale of love, peril, and perseverance will begin at 7pm each night and feature a troupe of tumbling circus performers. In the lead-up to opening night, there are several opportunities to engage with Shakespeare in Clark Park staff at the bowl at Clark Park during free family workshops:
Sundays July 11th and July 25th from 2-3 PM: Let's Make a Play!
In this workshop, participants will explore traditions of playful audience participation, object manipulation, and embodied storytelling. Help turn the whole audience into a community chorus for this summer's production of PERICLES in Clark Park. Ages 5+
Sunday, July 18th from 2-3 PM: What is Pericles?
This workshop will familiarize participants with the story of PERICLES through embodied play, basic acrobatics, and creative movement. Come learn the story of this summer's Clark Park production, and prepare to become a part of our community-created video trailer for the summer show! Ages 5+
