Beats and Rhymes was created by and will be led by Cosmic Writers (CW), a non-profit organization that promotes the joy and confidence-building potential of creative writing. Since 2020, CW has run Word Camp, a summer program of week-long immersive writing workshops for elementary, middle, and high-school students. Recently, CW has added afterschool workshops to its growing and imaginatively themed offerings.

Dr. Vivianne Nachmias has made possible our sponsorship of Beats and Rhymes through a

generous donation to GCCA’s Education Committee. Dr. V has always said it’s important to

nourish childhood curiosity and make learning exciting.

We think this workshop is just what she has in mind......
