Pfizer Vaccine expected to be expanded for 12 to 15 years olds

Updated: Mar 8, 2022

On March 31, 2021 Pfizer-BioNTech announced that, in a Phase 3 Trial in adolescents 12- to 15-years-old with or without prior coronavirus infection, the Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine demonstrated 100% efficacy in preventing severe COVID-19 disease in children.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is currently evaluating the Pfizer vaccine to expand the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to include those 12 to 15 years of age.
